I couple of years ago, the NJ Governor made a bit of a
bad mistake (well, at least his staff did...).
I had 2 Scouts getting their Eagle. I sent the invitation to
(then) New Jersey Governor Florio. His staff dutifully sent
letters to each BSA Eagle Scout congratulating them on their
attainment of the GOLD AWARD.
A couple of weeks later, I received another letter apologizing for
the mistake and providing each Eagle with the proper congratulatory
letter. I included BOTH letters in the Scouts' letters for the
evening (though we did not read the Gold Award one).
