Worked 'em all!

It is amazing what you read about in other publications about Boy Scouts.

In the May 1995 issue of "QST" the official journal of the American Radio
Relay League published in Newington, CT on page 12 there is an article and
picture on Scouting. This magazine has a large circulation and is now
available in many magazine shops. I quote from the article:

"Worked 'em all! In Boy Scouts, the rank of Eagle Scout requires earning 21
Boy Scout merit badges. Each badge has a list or required tasks and must be
supervised by a professional. Perhaps 1/2 of 1% of Eagle Scouts go on to
earn a Silver Palm by earning a total of 36 badges. But now there's
17-year-old Todd Cohen, KA1TMV [his ham radio license], of Tolland,
Connecticut-he's earned all 123 Boy Scout merit badges! Todd's feat is so
unexpected, in fact, that there's no award for it!"

The article goes on with a lot more stuff about ham radio. There is a nice
picture of Todd in uniform (no scout pants, but merit badge sash with it
looks like all 123 badges on it [his poor mother], full patches on shirt,
and Eagle string necktie). He is featured sitting in front of his Ham radio
gear.

I think the picture and article are worth looking up. This is great PR for
scouting.
