In the paragraph thanking contributors, "Alan Hauser" should be "Alan
Houser"
In the same paragraph, "plageurized" should be "plagiarized"
In the paragraph on FTP and Archie Clients for Macintosh, "donUt"
should be "don't"
In the paragraph on Eudora (both for Macintosh and PC), "and
predetermined intervals" should be "at predetermined intervals"
In the paragraph on Compression and Decompression Applications (and
several following paragraphs), several words are split at the end of
lines without hyphens. This could be a problem in the conversion from
Word to ASCII or something else. Examples are "archi ves" "an d" "en
counter" "su ch"
In the second paragrph on Newsreader Clients, "newreader" should be
"newsreader"
In the paragraph on PKZIP the version number "204g" should be "2.04g"
In the paragraph on ARROW-L, the description "The Order of the Arrow
maintains ..." overstates the case a bit. ARROW-L has the same
relationship to the OA that SCOUTS-L has to BSA. It is not officially
supported; it is all done voluntarily and unofficially.
In the first paragraph extracted about SCOUT-GIRL-L, "lessor" should be
"lesser"
In the second paragraph extracted about SCOUT-GIRL-L, "it's" should be
"its"
In the description of rec.scouting, it is referred to as a BBS. It is
actually a newsgroup rather than a BBS.
In the descriptions of the various FAQs of rec.scouting, there should
be a blank line between the description of jamboree95 and that of
leader-hints, for consistency.
In the description of skits-campfires, "look for to" should be "look
to"
FTP.SETON.COR.NET is listed as "apparently an incorrect address." The
correct address is SETON.COR.NET and there are definitely scouting
related materials there.
In the description of the Dutch language home page to promote scouting,
"There Dutch" should be "The Dutch"
In the description of the Scottish Scouting page, "ScoutsThis" should
be "Scouts. This"
In the same paragraph there is a date given as 8/3/95. I realize that
this is European format, but, for clarity, it might be better to
re-write it as 8 March 95.
In the list of Scout Related Bulletin Boards, "Scout's Honoe" should be
"Scout's Honor"
