One game I have used with both adults and children is to prepare a
list of well-known names, one per slip of paper. Tape one name to the
_back_ of each participant (and staff member), and have them try to
determine whose name is on their back. They do that by asking other
participants questions about the name on their back. The catch is
that they are only allowed to ask yes/no questions. The game can be
customized for the age/experience level of the group by careful
selection of the names. I've used genuine celebrity-type names
(George Washington, Bill Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, Madonna, Helen
Keller), as well as fictional creatures (Bugs Bunny, Santa Claus, The
Energizer Bunny, etc).
I've found that initially, everyone is very concerned with finding
out whose name is on their back, but after a little while, people tend
to help others figure out their name.
Yours in Scouting,
Alan
