Mike, on March 29 you posted a question Re: Do scouts/leaders cook together
or separate?Mike, here in Northern CA, our troop (Troop 3) actually does
both. The decision depends on what type of outing, any specific reasons for
the outing, and what the scouts are planning to eat <g>.
Camporee and backpacks, mainly, find the boys cooking for themselves as a
patrol. Car camps is a toss up, but usually the ASM's eat with their patrols.
However, us old foggies have been known to cook up a pretty mean pheasant
stew, dutch oven style, for the entire troop.
