First Year Program

I first sincerely thank everyone who has sent me ideas for the First year
program at a camp. AGAIN - THANKS!

ALSO . . . If you haven't been reading my messages, I'm making a program at our
camp for the FYC program. The camp had the program the past 4-5 years, but it
was not the greatest program. I'm already writing the program up.

I NEED YOUR HELP . . . I have started to write the cover letter for the
program. After that, than I'm making lesson plans for each skill we decide to
do. One thing I'm making a rule on is that EVERYONE Skill our program does
WILL involve hands-on experience, a relay/game/competition, and make the skill
relevent to the lifes of the Scouts. This will not be a lecture mode area. TO
EVERYONE OUT THERE - CHILDREN DON'T LEARN BY HEARING, BUT by DOING!!!!

I need some ideas of games, activities, or some creative ways of doing things
for the skills. If you have some games or other things you do with your
Scouts, and it pretains to the skills, please write back! I have the necessary
things for the Scouts to know, but now I need some hands-one or competition
which the Scouts will learn AND have fun!

Also, if you haven't E-Mail on your First Year Program at your camp, please do
so. How is your ran - what skills do you do - etc. I have many ideas which I
putting together for a hopeful successful program! I NEED YOUR IDEAS!!

(I hope by the end of April I should have everything I need)
