Earth Day Ideas?

Here in our community, Evergreen, a cleanup day is held once a year.
It just so happens, or I just noticed, that our cleanup day and Earth
day are on April 22. I had originally planned on having my den attend
the cleanup day but will now be presenting this service project to our
committee. The Evergreen cleanup day is sponsered by local business's.
They supply garbage bags, garbage bins and discount coupons. They also
usually supply a continental breakfast for everyone in attendance.
Light bulb on - maybe I can coordinate all the local packs, troops,
and Girl Scouts units to attend in uniform, then get the Local newspaper
and TV news people out there .......... Hmmmmmmmmmmm looks like another
project for yours truly.
