Thanks for the post on Helen Henderson. Was the plane crash the main
subject of the book or a general Nfld history or what?
I have a lot of good memories of the people and land of Newfoundland. In
college, I spend parts of 4-5 summers in NS, PEI and Nfld. Your post
brought back memories of one summer (72 or 73) where we hichhiked across Nfld.
and passed Gander field. At that point I was envious of those coming to
Gander by plane--they weren't having to deal with black flies.
The dispute with the Spanish fishing fleet has been making all of the US
newspapers and TV news. Good luck with it all.
