The Northeast Region is running a special kind of Woodbadge at Camp Siwanoy,
Wingdale, NY, August 23 to 31. Here is what makes it special:
1. A truly outstanding staff (I'm a staffer on this course too - and really
excited about the other people I'll be working with and learning from.)
2. The course will be Sabbath observant and kosher. This means that some
people who have religious or other concerns about food, will have a course
where they don't have to worry about speical food. This will include
Traditional Jews and Muslims, as well as others.
3. It takes up only one weekend. If you are active in your church or
synagogue (especially as a minister, rabbi or lay leader) you will have to
miss only one Sabbath or Sunday.
4. I understand that Camp Siwanoy is handicap accessible. The program will
be developed to enable ANYBODY to pariticpate as fully as they can.
For more information you can contact me, Mike Poretsky at (718) 376-2585 or
the course director, Jim Healy at (914) 679-8586.
