Hello Fellow Scouters

My name is Ben Gohlke. I am an adult leader and committee member of BSA Troop
3 in Chico, CA. We are part of the Mt. Lassen Area Council located in
Northern California. We have a large troop (55 scouts) with lots of adult
involvement (believe me, we need it with that many scouts). I am looking
forward to being an active part of this list and have already gleaned useful
information from the archives.
Our troop is quite active, having at least one campout each month, even in
incliment weather, which we have had PLENTY of in NO CA this winter, and it
is still raining.
This summer 22 of us are making the LONG trip to PHILMONT!!!! We are all very
excited and are getting in shape. If any of you have any hints for a
successful trek, let me know.
I was active in scouts in my "younger" years, one merit badge from Eagle(got
too old). My son Danny is First Class and pressing on to Star.
