Maybe the Presidents have all been mechanical signature reproductions but
three or four years ago my daughter was completing her Collecting Hobbies
badge. She was collecting signatures of famous (and not so famous) people.
She wrote to both to President and Mrs Bush and received mechanical
signatures but from Vice-President Dan Quayle she received
Vice-Presidentiantal stationary with a note addressed and signed to her and
a separate note addressed to the Troop. This was not mechanically
reproduced -- however, it could have been a flunky writing it. Anyway, she
and the troop was impressed and this has become part of our troop
scrapbook.
