Re: Mixed Scouting

Hank Heine said he was cold shouldered when he tried to get involved with
his daughter's Girl Scout troop. My suggestion to him would be to find
another troop. I, for one, would welcome anyone who want to help out in any
way with my troop. I tend to think that most Girl Scout leaders would feel
the same. We need adults to participate: moms, dads, or _anyone_. It's the
adult volunteers who keep the program going. When a troop folds, it's not
for lack of kids, it's because no adult would step up to volunteer. If any
Girl Scout leader would not want a man involved in their troop leadership,
please post a message, I'd like to know the reasoning.
