The point is incredibly different:
Car:
1. I can get insurence easily and are exected to
2. If a lawsuit erupts, I understand my risks,
3. I will not loss my job, or opportunity for future employement due to an accident,
4. My family will not be rejected by the community,
5. My car insurence company will provide full support to resolve the issue.

BSA
1. Does not provide ANY recommendations about protecting myself
(The national Ski Patrol has made it VERY clear what I need to understand
and do to protect myself).
BSA provides NO information or guidence except for 2 deep leadership.
2. If a lawsuit erupts, I do not know what the reaction of BSA will be
I may be unpleasently surprised to find myself out there by myself.
3. I may loss my job, or opportunity for future employement due to wrongful
lawsuit,
4. My family could be rejected by the community, and my wife's employement
as a teacher may be in jeopardy.
5. I am not convinced that BSA will provide full support to resolve the issue.

Locally, a boy claimed that a teacher had relations with him.
He was fired.
They went to court (2 years later) and the kid said he lied to get back at him.
His reputation is ruined and because this took 2 years,
there is no longer a position in the school.
I like car insurence!
