Re: age or grade requirements-AOL

Re: individual AOL ceremonies, our pack has the tradition of devoting
an entire pack meeting in January to the AOL ceremony. It is a BIG
DEAL that we only put on once a year. We tell our first year Webelos
parents this from the beginning and stick to the policy. In effect,
all of the boys will earn the requirments for the AOL long before the
January of their second year, and will continue to work on the other
activity badges (the majority of our Webelos will earn all 20 badges
by the time the cross-over to Boy Scouts in Februrary.)

Stand by your pack policy; as long as there is a majority on the Pack
Committee who favor your position, then the parent will have to accept
the decision of the group.

Good luck.

YiS,

Mike
