B&G and AOL

There are a couple of reasons that we like to cross our Webelos over to
Boy Scouts at the Blue and Gold.

1. By by becoming Boy Scouts in February, it gives the Scout enough
time to get in a patrol and get ready and cofortable before summer
camp. This may include raising money for summer camp.

2. It's nicer to invite a Boy Scout Troop to participate in a Pack mtg.
when you can at least feed them for coming. We always try to have
as many members of the Troop th boy is going in there to welcome him.

3. Usually we'll ask the Troop to put on a skit if they would like. This
helps with entertainment, and also shows the younger boys that doing
skits and song is "cool", because the older boys do it.

4. Usually Blue and gold is set-up to have more people than our regular
pack mtg. Grandma & Grandpa, Aunts & Uncles usually attend. This is
the audince that a AOL or Crossover recipient should have, these are
the most important events in one's Cub Scouting phase.

For these reasons, and others our Pack likes to do AOL and Crossovers at
Blue and Gold.

YIS!
