I am sitting at my "home" computer reading these messages. I am a school
teacher so will not return to work until 3 Jan! It's a tough job, but
someone has to do it. My wife is likewise a school teacher so we have the
same days off as our kids. It's truly a blessing. It means I have the
same schedule as my{New Scout Patrol! It makes it very convenient!

I have to comment on your observation that no one "mispelled" Christmas
with an "X." This is a common notion among folks unaquainted with the
origins of Christianity. Xmas enjoys an honorable history as a correct
reference to the celebration. The New Testament was Greek in the
original. Jesus' name in that language (transliterated into Roman
alphabet letters) is Iesus Xristos. The X corresponds to the Greek letter
"chi" and is the only letter that makes the hard "Ch" sound. Don't be too
hard on those who write Xmas, they are "really" not trying to "X" out
Jesus from the holiday. They are just following a time-honored tradition.

This is offered in the spirit of not wishing to offend anyone by wishing
seasons greetings. We can all learn a little tolerance!
