Webelos AOL Graduation

Several people seem to have misunderstood my posting on Webelos graduation
(transition) to Scouts. My point was to not make AOL ceremony (usually a
big show) part of B&G and thus overshadow the Wolf and Bear awards that
are often given at B&G. Webelos are usually recognized at almost every
pack meeting (with activity pins). Many of the other cubs have received
nothing all year and when they finally earn their Wolf or Bear, their ceremony
is one of many, not one of a few.
Webelos graduation (transition) could occur any time of the year, I just
think it should not be the focal point of B&G. Do it in December, do it
in January, do it in March or April, just not February!! Allocate the
February meeting to those who don't have as many opportunities for
recognition.
On the otherhand, you could do only AOL at B&G and try to get more Wolf &
Bear awards completed in January!!
