Christmas greetings from Scouts-L are great. I am really pleased to see
that know one has mispelled Christmas with an * X *. BTW my previous
employer (30 yrs) only counted calender days. I used to work almost every
day and night. OT was expected regardless
of eligibility for it. I was not paid OT, but that is okay. It just seemed
strange that people working for me, who worked less hours got more pay.
Sorry I have not done an intro yet. Not much to say about me. I've been a
scout dad for about 5 years. Constantly particating with the packs and
troops along the way. Because of my job I did not take a position but
just went to whatever I could. It turns out that I have done almost
everything except the backpack trips (leg problems). As a result I believe
that parent
volunteers who say they are too busy are fibbing. My experience was that
I found a small handful core of people who actually do the scout stuff.
They go on the outings. They help the scouts. They keep the records.
I used to be a cub scout and was raised in a Campfire house.

Don Anderson
