I don't speak for anyone but myself, but IMHBCO, the trend in our
(USA) society today is that any individual's problems can be blamed on
someone else's action/inaction/screwup/belief. Instead of working
hard in school as a youth, we can blame the school district or
teachers for our lack of learning. Rather than working hard at our
jobs, and doing the best we possibly can, we blame our employers or
coworkers for never getting that big promotion. Rather than accepting
and _RESPECTING_ each other's differences, the PC crowd has decreed
that no group/nationality/religion/anything has the right to their own
beliefs/principles/activites/whatever because it might be offensive to
a single individual and be holding him/her back from their full
potential. NONSENSE!!
If I don't want to watch Christmas specials on television, I can
either watch a different station, rent a movie, or turn the darn thing
off and read a good book (or even a mediocre one). I don't need to
complain to the television station that all of the Christmas specials
"offend" me.

I think it would be great if those "different, sensitive people"
would stop and think of the consequences of their actions. I don't
believe that any individual's rights should be infringed upon by any
other individual or group. However, I also believe that a single
individual should not be able to prevent me, or a group I belong to,
from having my/our beliefs.
