Hang in there good guy. The Scout not registered is not eligible to hold a
position. Sounds like it is time to confront your ASM and tell him your the
SM...AND to BACK OFF!...Cancel the planning meeting...all BSA guidelines
emphasise building the program in coordination with the SM calander...they
can't do it if you are not there.
You also need a heart-to-heart talk with the formally absentee newly elected
leader...explaining it is hard to lead a troop if he is not there. If he
becomes active again...great!....if not..discuss with the PLC ...some limits
about missing...and hold a new election if he continues to miss. Sounds like
you are a very caring Scoutmaster....hang tough.
