Subject: CampMaster Program - Contacts needed
I'm part of a team missioned to put together a "CampMaster" program next
year for Occoneechee Council in Raleigh, North Carolina. What I'm trying
to do with this message is to identify other BSA Councils which already
have a CampMaster program in place and to initiate contacts within those
councils. We'd like to learn from their experiences and successes.
We envision the CampMaster program as Volunteer Adult leaders who each
spend a scheduled weekend at the council camp acting as Camp Director,
program resource, etc... This may be too much or too little. Obviously,
there must be some training & preparation, as well as communications to
the units as to availability and what to expect. Thus my request to make
contacts to learn from others.
If your council has a "CampMaster" program in place or in plan, could
you please send me:
- Council Name (and State)
- CampMaster Program Chairman Name (&address/phone)
You can send this either via the list or directly. If there is
sufficient response, I will post the list of Councils for all to see.
