The term Greenbar refers to the Patrol Leaders and their position patch.
Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Patrol
Leaders, Asst Patrol Leaders. Yes, Bill Hillcourt was nicknamed 'Greenbar
Bill' to my knowledge it was associated with his participation of
woodbadge and his "refining" and writings of the Patrol method.
