Gee - does that mean that since I'm a Canadaian Leader - and cannot be
identifdied in uniform as a BSA Leader... <G>
Please remember, though, that not all of us are under the same restrictions
as you are, and that alcohol is not totally banned during activities of many
Scout or Guide Associations around the world. However, this does not mean
that it is ever appropriate to have a really rolicking booze-up where folks
get legless. In most cases, such light socialising as goes on happens after
the Scouts are well a-bed, and I don't think that you would be able to find
an activity where at least one Leader per Group is having fruit juice, tea,
coffee, or other non-alcoholic beverages whenever the Scouters' Club is open.
There ARE different rules for different Associations, and differing
culturally-based views as to what is or is not acceptable during Scouting or
Guiding activities.
