Brian,
I would recommend MULTIPLE blood drives. I know boys that were refused projects
because they were one day events, and I am in agreement with that.
I would recommend having a 3 town event where you do one town on
Fri, One on Sat and one on Sun.... or something similar. You
could plan and use your resources multiple times for the added benefit
while keeping the execution within your control.
Remember, that the LEADERSHIP is the important ingedient. You should NOT
be able to do the project by yourself but need to use either other scouts
OR FRIENDS to execute the task.
I went to the local Eagle Seminar last Monday... I was wonderfully surprised
to find them saying... "Use your parents as resources",
"Use your friends, not just scouts!"
"The HOURS is not the important part... find an interesting project that YOU
want to do"
In your report, write about how you plan TO LEAD THE PROJECT...
I like the project and you will be helping a lot of people...
