Paul Georgeson -- I think that you may have 2 things working here, a mother's
concern about her son's disruptive behavior (she may think it is worse than
it is) and your wanting to not *cross* the line of interfering with a
disability.
My feelings are that if you and the leader do not feel that the child is a
disruption you should share this with the mother. And ask her to try a
couple of meetings without her *help*. She also needs to feel comfortable
that her son's behavior is in control. It is tough from a parent's
perspective, but it can be worse for her son's self esteem to always have Mom
disciplining him, IMHO.
