DO WE EXPEL HIM

This is my first posting here and I would first like to thank every one who
replayed to my introduction.
I have read several postings suggesting that this problem be turned over to
the PLC. While scouting is a boy run program, sittuations such as this one
should involve adult leadership. The main job of a leader is to provide for
the health and safety of the scouts. A paint ball gun, while used in a
popular game can also be dangerous. This why protective gear is worn when
participating in a paintball game.
I agree with the troops decision not to expel this scout. Scouting is
perhaps the last organization left that is dedicating to producing
prodective citizens of there prospective nations and of the world. By
expeling this scout, the program would be failing to do it's main job. The
scout should remain in scouting and hopeful he will pick up the ideals of
scouting and become a better citizen.
You should perhaps try to find out what is troubling this youth. You can
give him a special leadership assignment, one were he could have a
responciblity, but would not be directly leading the troop. Sorry no
suggestions here. SCouting can help add meaning to this youths life and
hopefulling make him a responcible citizen of the world.
