Re: ADD/ADHD Kids

Ian,
How right you are... Our Field Services Director (buddy of mine). Told
me some time ago that I had upset some people with what I had said
...That it is not what I say but, how I say it that seems to rub people
wrong. Also being a big Biker doesn't help image either. I have a habit
of telling my boys things like "sit down or I'll tear your ears off"
The parents know I don't have any intention of doing so as well as the
kids... they actually get a kick out of it. But, people who don't know
me and the problems of ADD could get the wrong idea. There are some
here that pretend to know about ADD but, that is all it is pretention.
Lots of talk but no action.
I will take difference in one of your points. I find that I have to use
ALOT of attention and discipline to stay to task sometimes...difficult
yes, doable...sometimes. I find myself enjoying working at a speed of
what others call 120%, to me if I don't I become bored. Also do you have
poor short term memory but in a week be able to recount vividly all that
was said? I do.
How is your evaluation going?
Lastly, there has become a bond that has happened as we have
communicated across the big lake via Internet. I feel as if I have known
you for years. As you so aptly put it in a previous correspondence..To
know you guys is to love you.. well put.
Have a great Thanksgiving.

John Oakes
