Hi - My name is William D. (Bill) Warde. I recently subscribed to
Scouts-L and so am writing an intro to the list!!

I am a Queen Scout from U.K. (1959) and was an A.C.M., A.S.M. amd S.M.
in U.K. (22nd High Wycombe Pack and Troop). I attended the University
of London, received a B.Sc. and then came to the U.S. where I attended
Florida State University (M.S.) and Iowa State University (Ph.D.). I
am now Professor of Statistics at Oklahoma State University and have
been here since 1972.

Scoutin History includes Cub Wood Badge 158 at Gilwell Park (1962)
Black Six. Scout Wood Badge SC 124 at Will Rogers Scout Reservation
(1978) Bob White. Staff on SC 234, SC 381 and SR 81 (completed October
1994). I am a Silver Beaver and a Vigil Honor member in the O.A.
(Inola Lodge 148) and served as Lodge Lay advisor for about 5 years
(1981-1985). I am currently District Commissioner (Pawnee Bill
District, Will Rogers Council) and an assidtant scourmaster in Troop
828 Stillwater. I have been Scout Round Table Commissioner, District
Camping Chairman, District Training Chairman, District Cub Day Camp
Director, Scoutmaster, Webelos Den Leader, Assistant Cubmaster, and
Tager Coordinator at various times in the past 22 years in Stillwater.

I have two scout sons. Colin is 17 and lacks the newly added Family
Life Merit Badge for Eagle (everything else was completed by Sept 30
but...). He is S.P.L. for Troop 828. Chris is 14 and a Star scout
and is the Troop Q.M.

Have been on the List for a little over a week and enjoyed reading the
various messages.
