Scouts transition

Bill O'Connell (OCONNEWJ@CNSVAX.UWEC.EDU)

I'm a head of our troop's recruitement. We are about to receive around 10 +
new boys in February. I want to have them come into the troop in fashion.
Does anyone have any cermonies that they use to welcome the new Boy Scouts into
your Troop.

I saw really good crossing the bridge cermonies for Webelos into scouting, but
I haven't seen any cermonies which the boys are welcomed into the troop. We
did do one which each scout had a candle. Then each person tells about oneself
(name, hobbies, grade, what they want from scouting). I'm looking for some
creative ideas for this.

Thanks,

Bill O'Connell
