One thing I haven't seen mentioned is the possibility of going beyond
parents to find volunteers. In our town, we have gone to the community
and found Girl Scout leaders among women who either have no children or
whose children are grown. We have also found women who were willing to be
involved in one time events (such as camping trips) but who don't have
time to be involved in weekly troop meetings.
Just a thought-don't know if other organizations allow this.
