Thanks Tom and al of the others who shipped off those requirements to
me. I printed them out ans used them as handouts for the boys who
hadn't brought their books. It went pretty well.
As a sidenote I had been asked to do this presentation by the SPL.
So I walked in and asked him if he was ready. He of course was
surprised. I told him that he would run it and I would help. He kinda
looked at me funny and said ok. We had a good time and it went a lot
better than if some dumb college kid was preaching to the,. The kids
got really involved. I just stood back and let the ASPL field most of
the questions and answers and added my $0.25 once in a while....
I felt good because this troop has been highly adult run. I came
into it from a troop that I had halped run as a Scout before becoming an
ASM so we have been trying to get more boy leadership going and less
adult. The sPL (new one) was real good). When the kids got real bored
and restless he turned the question and answer presentation into
Jeapoardy with points adn stuff. Worked pretty good......
Ooops! too much rambling...just had a good Scouting experience and
thought I'd pass it on....
