Hello out there,

my name is Goede Schueler, I subscribed last week to SCOUTS-L. As you can
possibly see in my faults of writing, english is not my original language.

I`m 23 years old and I`m coming from Germany. Normally from Duesseldorf,
in the western part of Germany at the river Rhine.

I started scouting in the age of 8. I grew up in our "Stamm"(=tribe) till
I was old enough to become leader when I was 18 years. Well, I know that
this is quite different in the BSA. I was Scoutmaster an tribe leader for
a year then. I leaded "Jungpfadfinder" (12-14 years) for some years till I
started my studies in Bonn (Chemistry) which is about 30miles from
Duesseldorf. I`m still very active in scouting. I take part of every
important thing in our tribe.

I`m very interested in the BSA as we made a trip to America last summer
with a group of our tribe. We take part in Camp Phillips near
EauClaire(WI). And we did a hike in the Grand Teton National Forrest (WY)
with a troop from EauClaire, Chippewa Valley Council. We had a big time
and talked a lot with the boys and their leaders about the different types
of scouting around the world.

If there someone is interested in more details. Just send me a mail. Or
I`ll post more here.

That`s all for now.

in scouting
g*de
