Girls with Venture Crew & Troop?

I have had a co-ed post, so am familiar with that practice. However, the
Venture crew with girsl is new. I understnd they can participate with boys,
but not be registered members.

My question is:

Anyone have experience with Venture Crews & girls on trips.

What if the crew goes on the same weekend trip with the Troop and they want a
group of girls with them? Provided they camp separatly from the Troop, is this
OK, or is it only permitted when the Venture Crew is on a separate outing from
the Troop. Is there BSA rules on this issue or just up to the discretion of
the Unit leaders?
