Re: "lost" scout

James,

Just a reminder, a board of review is required for each rank, one for 2nd
class and one for 1st class.

I would suggest that you go to the council office and ask to go through the
Advancment records for the "lost Scouts" former unit. If you explain the
situation and they have decent people working at your office, then this
should be possible. In addition, you might check with the District
Advancement Chairman. I keep all the pink copies of the troop advancement
records after out D.E. verifies that the scouts are registered. I keep
them by unit, so it would be real easy to look for this scouts name on the
old troops advancement record.

I personnally hate the idea of making the scout do all the work over again.
This is a typical adult screw up. But I have to question, where is this
scouts handbook. He should have had everything signed off in his book. I
guess I cannot let the scout off complete clean, if he is not bringing his
book to meetings and activities and getting his requirements signed off.
Pleanty of blame to go around I guess. Try for the white copies of the
troops advancment records at the council office.

P.S. The only date they ask for at this level on the Eagle Scout
Application right now is the First Class Date. No request is made for the
Tenderfoot and second class dates.
