Rodger,
I normally would follow up with a personal note, but I wanted to make
it clear that in no way was I flaming you. I think it's great that
your district does quite a few things to encourage LDS participation.
As you noted in your post, your district is very open minded. What I
wanted to do is let the rest of the list see that religion is not the
only criteria. Much of what we are talking about can be applied to
being considerate toward scouters with disabilities, dietetic
restrictions, etc.
To open it up to other voices, I would like to ask the list:
What has your district or council done to acommodate religious, physical,
dietetic, or other differences while planning events and schedules?
Again, my post was was meant to let other leaders know what kinds of
situations I see in my role as Unit Commissioner.
