interesting point. what is the difference between the people and the
persons? i guess you are constructing a fictional entity called "the
people" as a being of it self.
if like IMO a people is the sum of the persons living there then i
can either respect them or not but i cannot respect the people
without the person. btw: i wouldn't see much use in honoring a people as
a whole even if it existed.
