"painless" training ideas

One idea that I have seen work very well in Greater Niagara Frontier
council, is to include ADULT training sessions in the camporee program!
No reason the adults should yes be sitting back at the campsite
drinking coffee, no offense to MIKE, :)
At recent district Camp-o-ree's, klondikes and council Camp-o-rall,
various 2 hour training blocks were included. Such topics as
COLD weather camping tips, liquid fuels certification and the
first part of the YPP taining have all been topics for adult
sessions at council and district events. If you have 2 or
3 such events each year, all members of the committe should be
able to rotate thru the various training, and keep UP TO DATE.
I heard that some summer camps even have ADULT RED CROSS first
aid trainging that is required these days.
