Don,
I think Johnny has a right to be an SPL by election. I still have no
problem with setting a limit on the amount of time a person can serve in
an elected position. It is a true reflection on society in which many elected
positions have limits on them. In adult scouting we find limits to be almost
the norm. Why not expose scouts to the real world? It does not reduce the
concept of a "boy run troop" in the least. Why not let the boys help in setting
the limit?
