Problems, but problems (1/2) Computer freaks please read!

Dear friends,

I was surprised at the beginning how easy that whole Internet-business was
working. Should there be something related to computers that really was
working? Well, it isn't!

It all started when we got that new mail-server. Clio instead of Convex. I
got your messages all right, but my mails to Scouts-L returned with a
comment like "your not allowed..." I figured out that I had to change my
adress, so after some tries with "subscribe this" and "unsubscribe that" I
was able to write again. But then we got another new mailserver called
Mail. Since then I get every message from Scouts-L twice, once on Mail
(bell@uni-duesseldorf.de), once on Clio (bell@clio.rz.uni-duesseldorf.de).
When I unsubscribe from Clio, I don't get any messages at all. When I
unsubscribe from Mail, I get a reply like "Your are not subscribed...". On
the other hand, the "digest" did work on Mail, so now I get a digested
packet on Mail, which I can trash at once and get the single mails on Clio
to read. But what I really want is NO Scouts-L on Clio but on Mail.

Next problem: I did upload two files to pluto.utdallas.edu and they seemed
to arrive there, but were still in the upload directory whenever I
logged in afterwards. Recently when connecting to the site, I can login as
anonymous and can view the root-directory. But after changing to "scouting"
or "uploads" I don't get the directory. I want to upload some clipart files
there, who is responsible for that site? Please help!

Today there was that correction about Jota cliparts on Scouts-L. I put the
"Get ..." to Listserver again, and this time got four responses but all
were "UUenclosure is incorrect.end". What did I do wrong?

Thank you very much for your help!

Gut Pfad!
