A Scout's Duty to God and Country - Addendum

Michael F. Bowman (mfbowman@CAP.GWU.EDU)
Sun, 3 Jul 1994 01:36:52 -0400

CAPGWU.EDU limits use to an hour and in the rush to beat the automatic
termination, I omitted a couple thoughts in my previous message on A
Scout's Duty to God and Country that I wanted to share.

We are in touch with many of the National religious committees and
Scouting religious associations and provided copies of our manuscript to
them. If you belong to one of those associations, we need your support.
Before such a book can be adopted, it will have to get the approval of the
Religious Relationships Subcommittee of the National Relationships
Committee. Each faith's national committee and scouting association is
represented on the subcommittee.

For those of you in the Washington metro area, we are in desperate need of
an HP-II or III laser printer to run drafts and a final revision. Anyone
know of a firm that is getting ready to upgrade and unload existing gear
or loan an excess unused unit?

On the international side: Although the book is pitched to BSA programs,
we welcome thoughts and ideas.

With thanks, yours in Scouting,

Michael F. Bowman, a/k/a Professor Beaver
