I have received many valuable posts regarding Pinewood Derby winners. They
have all been extremely helpful. I felt this one was particularly noteworthy.
Doing something for the love of the thing itself is something we all need
to learn.

My son is not very competitive either. He has always been a little gangly
and does not do well in sports. But a 5'10" 12-year-old is just waiting
for his motor skills to catch up with his height. Anyway, two years ago
when he won the pinewood derby, he had never really won at any competition
in his life. He was prepared to just go have fun with his car that he
was very proud of. As my youngest now goes through his Cub years, we see
the same attitude in him. Competition is fun whether you win or lose. I
am one proud father!
