Hey, hold on a minute, you don't have to leave!
The military has full Internet access (once you are out of training it should
be no problem to get on-line). You could also probably instal AOL software or
something similar on any office machine with a modem (as long as there is
phone access to the service in the community calling area), and sign on as a
guest. Since this doesn't cost the military anything, they mostly tend to
allow you to do that.
Being in the military, I know these things... <g>
