New England 4th of July Scouting Adventure

Edward Rogers (erogers@PPPL.GOV)

I will be in Fall River, Massachusetts this weekend awaiting my Troops
arrival at Camp Yawgoog in RI. on Sunday. In addition to plans of clamming
and fishing, we intend to visit the battleship and do a local BSA historic
trail hike.

At the foot of Bragger Bridge on Route 95 just as you enter Fall River is
the Battleship USS Massachusetts. Groups can arrainge to stay aboard the
Battleship Friday and/or Saturday, eat meals served on board , visit the
museum and also participate in a none affilated historic trail hike of the
Fall River area. There is also a Destroyer "Joseph P Kennedy, Jr.",
Submarine "Lionfish", PT Boats "617 & 796", LCM 56 WWII Landing Craft and
other displays.

The following addresses and phone numbers are what I used to make the
necessary arraingments. I thought I would share this with others who might
be interested in the program.
