Rex,
I feel that a certain level of competition is normal, healthy, and needed.
Although some are very tender in the area of losing, there are others who
thrive on the ability to compete. The competative nature is in a certain
percentive of people, thus ditto with Scouts. I know I'd go nuts without a
way to test my skills, and it was that way when I was a child.
