In my opinion winning and loosing is not a major part of life. There will be to
many loosers. Of coures, the children want to so, who can do something better
than the other one. During my time as a cub and brownie leader in Austria we had
less competitions with winners than than crafts, where each child could do it's
best. Enough games exist without winners (e.g. the NEW GAMES).
The cubs and brownies can proof their skills with severel - so called - special
badges .
I think, cubs and Browies must have fun and motivatin to practice their skills.
