Re: Pinewood Derby Winning

Rex,

As we all know, a major part of life is winning and loosing. Probably
with more emphasis on the "loosing" end...
I think that it is wrong not to reward the winners. It is also necessary
to recognize all who participated...
From a while back, I seem to remember that you are Wood Badge trained.

Those leadership skills apply to Cubs too.

If the two boys couldn't stand loosing a Pinewood Derby, what are they
going to do later in life?????

My youngest son's car came in second two years in a row. The second year
he should have won. But because the guy running the cars didn't swap
lanes in the final run, he lost. (One lane was slightly faster than the
other). Mark's car went into the final race with no losses. The other
car had one. But that was 8 years ago... Mark receive a trophy.. They
took the three "winning" cars and made trophys out of them.. It looked
neat.

Anyway I feel the Pack did the wrong thing...

YiS
