Dan,
For those without a windowing environment, you can use lynx, a
text-based client for WWW. This will "talk" with the same
servers. But most people seem to have either a workstation
running X or a PC/Mac machine.
And I would suggest organizing the WWW server with an anonymous
ftp server for transferring various resource files. That way,
folks with just mail access can still get the files.
What might be more of a problem is that all these clients
require a TCP/IP protocol interface. There are shareware
and freeware implementations using SLIP over modem connections,
but you must have access to a host machine with SLIP service
that is also connected to the net.
