Susan,
I like your backpacking idea. I also do a lot of backpacking, both in and
out of Scouting. I had a leader once collapse on the side of a ledge (she
weighed almost 300 pounds) right behind me in a seizure. It was the grace
of God that I was able to hold her on the trail. She hadn't told anyone she
was epaleptic because she was afraid she wouldn't be allowed to go. Had the
others known of her needs, they could have been easily accomadated.
