Dear Bob,
>As one of those posting in this discussion, I hope we didn't put you off.
Don't worry, you definitely didn't put me off. I can take some constructive
critic and as such I took your posting. I perfectly agree, that on a public
server like the Scouts-L archive any file should be in a form that everybody
can use. As long as I am sending files directly to interested people, they
have to accept, that I have restricted possibilities. Mike from Caldwell
kindly offered his help in converting the cliparts into an Apple Macintosh
format. So if Jon agrees to put them on the listserver, also Mac-Users will
have a chance to get them.

Yes, it was a lot of work, but knowing that there may be the one or other
friend on the other side of the world who might have some joy in it makes it
all worthwhile. Especially if there is some feedback!!
>As an aside - what does "Gut Pfad!" mean? My German is rather shaky.
"Gut Pfad" is the usual greeting between German Scouts. Literally translated
it would be "good path" (You remember "Scout" in German is "Pfadfinder" path-
finder). BTW cubs greet each other with "Gut Jagd" = "good hunting".
That now reminds me that I typed a dictionary of some scouting terms in six
or seven languages. Again that was done on my old Atari ST, but I'm sure I will
find the disk and can read the text into the PC (or type it in again, as I
definitely have a hardcopy). Will that be of interest to you? Any suggestions
concerning the format? Will there be problems with the special letters (Um-
laute, accents...)?
Hope to hear from you again.
Gut Pfad!
