LDS units have a slightly different structure than other units, so
they might have requirements that I'm not aware of. As far as the
ranks, Webelos is the only one with a religous requirement. There is
about a page of requirments, but it's a menu system and he shouldn't
have any trouble finding something that he can do. While the Webelos
leader signs most of the requirements, we made it clear that the
parents who sign off the religous requirement.
If the den participates in a church service, you can't require him to
participate. But, I would make sure he knows he's welcome. If the
pack feels that type of activity is important, there should be
something that can be subsituted.
